Retirees wishing to remain active by sharing their unique talents who are eager to brighten the days of our patients.
Former employees, patients, their family members and others.
Why are they important?
Volunteers provide many EXTRAS that supplement the functions of the professional staff. They add to the quality of healthcare.
What qualifications are needed to become a volunteer?
Good attitude, interest, discretion, dependability, and ability to follow directions.
The Interview ... helps match volunteers' interests and schedules to the hospital's needs.
Orientation ... helps volunteers understand the organization, fire and safety procedures, and disaster procedures. New volunteers will be paired with a more seasoned volunteer.
When does a volunteer work?
Schedules are set to meet the needs of both the hospital and the volunteer. Volunteer hours depend on how much time you have to give. Dependability is very important.
